The Global March Against Child Labour is a movement to mobilise worldwide efforts to protect and promote the rights of all children, especially the right to receive a free, meaningful education and to be free from economic exploitation and from performing any work that is likely to be harmful to the child's physical, mental, spiritual, moral or social development.

Bachpan Bachao Andolan (BBA)

Bachpan Bachao Andolan today symbolizes the largest grassroots movement against child servitude. As an initiator of rescuing slave children (direct action) from the remotest villages in India on one hand and the organiser/leader of Global March Against Child Labour on the other, BBA has a legacy of crusade aganist child labour since 1980. Founded as a group of few individuals, BBA has emerged as an organization of thousands of individual supporters under the banner of ‘Bachpan Bachao Andolan’ as well as network of over 780 NGOs, Trade Unions, Human Rights Organisation etc. dedicated towards the total elimination of child labour and quality education for all in India.

Save the Childhood Foundation (SCF)

Save the Childhood Foundation was formed to support the people's movement, the Bachpan Bachao Andolan (Save the Childhood Movement).

Bachpan Bachao Andolan (BBA) symbolises the movement against child labour and education for all. As an initiator of rescuing slave children from the remotest village in India on one hand and the organiser of Global March Against Child Labour across 103 countries on the other, BBA has a legacy of 25 years of crusade.

Child labour is the main cause of illiteracy, which, in turn, leads to poverty, ignorance and all the problems facing the world today. Child Labour is not only a social evil but is also a punishable crime.
