On 5th February 2020, Nobel Peace Laureate Mr. Kailash Satyarthi who was the Ambassador of Honour, addressed hundreds of passionate youth at the Middle East Youth Expo in Abu Dhabi. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Satyarthi asked the youth to join him in globalizing compassion as he does not want his legacy to the future generations be that of a warmer and polluted planet, politics driven by hate and divide, an economy of cruel inequality and a selfish society.
Furthermore, the Nobel Peace Laureate spoke of the power of youth. He remarked that Leaders build walls in the illusion of safety but add loneliness and fear, leaving us more unsafe. He emphasized on how youth have power to build bridges of Connect and togetherness, which is the easiest and more economic way to make a safer society. He inspired the youth to allay any hidden fears by sharing a few anecdotes from his life wherein in most dangerous situations he fights for the best and is prepared for the worst. Mr. Satyarthi spoke of his belief that death in saving someone is always better than dying in our beds.
