On 7th September 2019, a private screening of Jhalki - a film creating awareness on child labour was held in Mumbai. The event had some of the popular Bollywood celebrities like Sanjay Suri, Tannishtha Chatterjee in attendance along with the Nobel Peace Laureate himself. Addressing the audience, Mr. Satyarthi lauded the efforts of the gifted director, actors and all those who contributed towards the making of such a thought-provoking film. Mr. Satyarthi believes that change is ushered by awareness and films are the most effective medium in creating awareness. He believes Jhalki is a first-of-its-kind movie in Indian cinema to address the issue of child trafficking, slavery and depict the struggle and will to fight and win against it.
