On 21st January 2020, Nobel Peace Laureate Mr. Kailash Satyarthi met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy at the Assembly and discussed various issues related to children in the state. Mr. Satyarthi was touched by the warmth, compassion and commitment towards the development of women and children. He also lauded the Amma Vodi scheme of the government that provides financial assistance to poor mothers so that they can send their children to school. The Nobel Peace Laureate also promised his and his organization's complete support and cooperation in making Andhra Pradesh a model state for children.
