On 11th November 2019, in commemoration of the 28th Anniversary of the Universidad Cesar Vallejo, Peru; the University conferred an Honorary Doctorate on the Nobel Peace Laureate, Mr. Kailash Satyarthi. Interacting with students at the University, Mr. Satyarthi remarked how we are most insecure when we are lonely and only togetherness can make you secure. He encouraged the students to make at least a few true friends with whom they can freely share their joy and sorrow. Mr. Satyarthi exhorted thousands of university students in Peru to take the pledge to refuse hospitality from homes employing domestic child labour; ask brands to guarantee that there is no child labour in their supply chains; and demand from politicians to protect all children. The Founder of Universidad Cesar Vallejo, Mr. Cesar Acuña Peralta - a Peruvian politician and entrepreneur in the field of education expressed keenness of hosting Kailash Satyarthi Center for Child Rights at Universidad Cesar Vallejo.
